Annoying empty space at the bottom of your post

I was having trouble getting rid of the empty space right under my signature in my posts. I've tried to check for numerous time to make sure that I did not hit enter or line break when I was writing my post. My signature appeared precisely at the bottom of the compose text box. I tried to move the cursor, but it won't move, as that confirm that I had deleted the lines below my signature. Perhaps, this screen shot will show you what was the issue that I want to post here.
I was kind of annoyed having this long vertical empty space. As I mentioned earlier that I already checked in the composing text box (that the space was not there).

But later, I found that in fact the annoying space was generated by lines of invisible scripts, which can only be seen in html edit mode. The html edit mode button is right beside the compose button in the upper right part of edit post page. This is the screen shot of the junk script that lies right below my signature.

Simply by removing the lines will make the empty space disappeared. Here is the screen shot after I removed the script lines. As you can see the signature is in the bottommost of the input box of compose page.

Once you are done deleting the junk scripts, you may just publish your post or continue editing the whole post. If you made it successfully, you will see that the annoying empty space is gone.

Important that you don't mistakenly edit or delete any other scripts in the html mode. Otherwise, your page will not appear correctly. Glad to help for those who are looking for solution for this issue.

  2. Hi Rahmat

Your post made me laugh! Thanks! Yes, how many times do we get annoyed by small, yet hard to find, changes we need to make. You should be a technical writer!
